Holes are drilled around the perimeter, under the lip, to assist heat evacuation and promote air exchange. There is a hole at the very top to also aid in air exchange, but it can also be used as a convenient place to hang something, such as a perch, on the inside. We would be happy to cut any size entrance hole you like!
